Spring in Provence

I know that I cannot capture the spirit of the two weeks we spent in Provence this month in words, but I am hoping that some of the photos I share reflect the joy of the trip. Bucky, Bisoux (our cat!) and I rented the same place we have stayed in the last couple of times right in the center of Eygalieres. Spring is definitely the time to visit this wonderful, magical place as the flowers were blooming, bees were buzzing and the weather ideal.

Lucie took the TGV down from Paris with Louise (her cat) while our nephew, Hamer, and his wife, Mary Ellen, stayed in Lucie's apartment in Paris for a few days. Then, they both came down to Eygalieres and the five of us had a WONDERFUL time.

Of course, we tried to drink of the the rose in Provence and I must say, we did an impressive job!! We had lovely meals out and about, strolled through towns and shopped at markets, brocantes and vide greniers.

After a couple of nights in Eygalieres, Hamer and Mary Ellen rented an Airbnb in St. Remy de Provence which is just one town over so we were able to see a lot of each other, but they also got to explore on their own. They went to Les Goudes and Aix en Provence and did some wine tasting at some domaines along the way.

Meanwhile, Bucky and I did some hiking (per usual) and did some work (as we worked remotely for one of the weeks we were there). We also visited some towns around Eygalieres with home purchases in mind as we dream of one day buying a house in Provence. Mark my words, we will make it happen. As Mary Poppins says, "Anything can happen if you let it."

I am so glad we let this trip to Eygalieres with Lucie, Hamer and Mary Ellen happen! We have memories together that will last a lifetime. Lucky us.
